Oversized U-Turn Round – Wallenstein’s Camp Adventure Trail
Impuls Design were commissioned to create 28 interpretive columns along the Wallenstein’s Camp Adventure Trail, some of which needed to share audio with visitors. To do this they utilises our Oversized U-Turn Rounds.

Located near the town of Stein, a major historic site that was part of The Thirty Year’s War fought primarily in Germany between 1618 to 1648 – Wallenstein’s Camp Adventure Trail recreates one of the largest fortified military camps during this period and guides visitors through its history.

Here, Impuls Design were commissioned to create 28 interpretive columns along the Adventure Trail, some of which needed to share audio with visitors. To do this they utilises our Oversized U-Turn Rounds, providing multiple tracks of audio without need for mains power.
Visitors are now able to select a track with the dial and crank the handle to generate the power required to hear stories of people that would have lived during the war.

These U-Turns have custom batwings that provide information about these people as well as instructions and track listings, These impressive interpretive structures also offer visitors a chance to sit down and take a break along the trail, whether they listen to the stories or take in the nature surrounding them.
