32″ Touchscreens, Lightbox 3 and Handset Recoilers – Gnoll Country Park
The finished result is a series of interactive units that fully compliment the rustic yet modern aesthetic of the new visitor centre, helping visitors understand what’s available to see and do at the Gnoll as well as uncover it’s intriguing history.

Originally an estate owned by the Evans family dating back to the 16th Century, the Gnoll Country Park is now a popular visitor destination owned by Neath County Council. Consisting of 240 acres the park welcomes outdoor exploration with a series of woodland trails, duck ponds, play facilities and now a new cafe and visitor centre.

Located just a few miles from Blackbox-av we were delighted to be commissioned by designers 35 percent to provide hardware and software for the new Gnoll visitor centre. This included 32″ touchscreens, i7 PC’s, heavy duty handsets recoilers and our Lightbox 3 software package with which to present information to visitors.

Thanks to this combination of hardware, visitors can now find out more about Gnoll Country Park across both floors of the centre. This includes access to an interactive map, information about upcoming events as well as an animation depicting how the once grand Gnoll House (now just ruins) would have looked in all its glory.

Users can choose from our standard HDH handsets or a Hearing Loop model with T-Coil technology for enhanced hearing-aid accessibility. All options are equipped with our Recoiler technology, which automatically retracts cabling neatly into the cabinetry when not in use

We built the hardware into bespoke housings (supplied and designed by 35 percent). The finished result is a series of interactive units that fully compliment the rustic yet modern aesthetic of the new visitor centre, helping visitors understand what’s available to see and do at the Gnoll as well as uncover its intriguing history.
