VideoFrame 12 – Edale Parish Church

The Edale Parish Church, Derbyshire, has recently undertaken a number of projects thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The Grade II Listed building has been standing since the 16th century and has recently undergone restoration work. Members of the community have played an important role in participating to maintain the small town’s heritage. As part of the history and heritage project, a series of videos were researched and developed,  then displayed on our VideoFrame 12 to provide visitors with further knowledge of the small town.

The VideoFrame 12 Kiosk has the ability to play full HD videos, photos and audio within an all in one unit. It was the perfect solution for displaying the series of videos created during the project.

The unit is supplied with up to 10 buttons that when selected can trigger up to 10 media files. For this use just 6 were utilised to trigger 6 video clips, with a 7th used to allow users to return to the home menu. The Kiosk also has 2 volume buttons, offering visitors a choice to decrease or increase depending on their preference.

The high quality 22″ HD screen makes it a perfect all-in-one media playback system. Content displayed on the unit can easily be updated through changes in the USB/SD card, found inside of the device.  This benefits the church if they decide to add more content as their project develops. Whilst the ‘menu’ screen is easily programmed with an image file.

The unit has been installed towards the back of the church and has become a talking point for visitors; Thus allowing them to learn about Edale’s long-standing history which is now preserved for others to discover.
