{
We were tasked with the supply of each audiovisual component required for the new exhibition, this included a number of commercial screens with high definition solid state video players attached or inbuilt, a number of armoured cable headphones and a directional speaker which was utilised to create a focused beam of sound recreating the audio of a machine gun.
The Tank Museum in Bovington has played an integral part in the recent 2014 blockbuster ‘Fury’. Directed and written by David Ayer and boasting a cast which includes Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf the film centres around a Sherman M4 crew in the last months of World War II. With accuracy at the forefront of the films concerns the Tank Museum was contacted in the hopes they would allow the use of their working Sherman M4 and the last remaining working German Tiger 131 Tank in the world, which after some discussion was agreed.

With technicians from the museum working as advisers and helping members of the film crew learn how to operate the machines during filming the two tanks were used to great effect, with the Sherman ‘Fury’ becoming the real star of the show.

To coincide with the release of the movie a new exhibition has opened at The Tank Museum which showcases their role in the movie, with the Sherman taking centre stage along with various props, imagery and footage from the film.
