Single Cup Headphones – Life Science Centre
In our Space Zone, we have a mock-up of the International Space Station featuring videos of astronauts discussing life and work in orbit. The space is quite enclosed, so we wanted to control the audio, allowing families to focus on one film at a time. Blackbox-av’s Single Cup Headphones provided a rugged, reliable solution.

By placing a pair of headphones at each screen, two people can listen simultaneously while still talking to each other about the story. Some visitors prefer to use both earphones for a fully immersive experience. Mounted on an armoured, flexible cable, the headphones can easily adapt to users of different heights and are fully accessible to wheelchair users.

Since this installation, we have used the same product in two small temporary exhibitions, where it delivers audio narration alongside video content.
