MI5 Exhibition – National Archives
Blackbox-av’s hardware and software solutions power each temporary exhibition at the National Archives, and The MI5 showcase – featuring our Short Throw Projectors, Heavy Duty Handsets, and Android Tablets running our Lightbox Lite software – is no exception.

With a vast collection of items and national documents dating back over 1,000 years, The National Archives are not only tasked with preserving these documents but also utilising them to create ever changing immersive and informative displays in their dedicated exhibition space.

Blackbox-av’s hardware and software solutions regularly power each temporary exhibition here, and The MI5 showcase made no exception.
Our Short-Throw projectors are utilised once again to help tell the stories of those that worked at MI5, from the cold war to the modern day.

While our Autoplay Heavy Duty Handsets coupled with SoundClip-2 audio players were used to provide a selection of informative clips to visitors. Simply lifting the handset off its mount triggers the content – in this example a recreation of one of many interrogations that MI5 performed during the early years of World War II.

Elsewhere you will find the Heavy Duty Handset paired with our Lightbox Lite software and 15″ Android Tablets, providing visitors a selection of videos that delve into the work of Mi5 throughout the years, as told by figures who once worked for the organisation.

Once again the minds at the National Archives have put together a captivating exhibition, bringing to light intriguing stories from the depths of their records.
