A result of the Heritage Lottery funded Young Roots programme, the Hampshire Cultural Trust has launched a temporary exhibition titled ‘No facebook! OMG!’ at Westbury Manor Museum. The project explores how teenagers lives have changed since the 1960’s, with a focus on technology and social media.

As part of the project we were commissioned to develop a touchscreen questionnaire which would gather feedback from exhibition visitors as to how they use facebook and their opinion on this popular social media platform. The interactive runs on our all-in-one 22″ multi-touch screen and provides real time analysis of the results.

Visitors can leave comments answering the question “How do you think Facebook has impacted society?”

The questionnaire is presented on a wall mounted all-in-one 22″ multi-touch screen, with the exhibition set to last just a few months there are plans for the screen to be re-purposed and used elsewhere by the Heritage Cultural Trust in future.

With the ability to breakdown visitor feedback by gender and age, as well as allow users to leave comments (which need to be approved via an admin section before they are viewable) the Facebook questionnaire has provided a great insight into how the opinion of social media as a whole differs in society.
