Audio Frame – Bruce Castle Museum
We’re so happy with the audio frame and stand. It’s portable but secure, looks great (it was good to be able to choose colours and use our logo to fit our style guide) and it’s so easy to use both for staff uploading files and for the public to listen to. The staff at Blackbox-av were really helpful and accommodating, and the whole procurement process was extremely quick and efficient.

With over 1,000 years of history Bruce Castle is a 16th century manor house located in Tottenham London, it is one of the largest Tudor houses remaining in the UK. Since 1891 it has been a museum and park maintained by the Tottenham Local Board, ensuring future generations can visit and experience this lovely piece of history. Julie Melrose, Archivist for Haringey Council, explains how some of our equipment has been used at the museum.
We were looking for a stylish and portable listening post to showcase Bruce Castle Museum and Archive’s oral history collections. One that we could move throughout our building to use in permanent galleries and temporary exhibitions.

This is a lovely example of our Audio Frame in action, Bruce Castle Museum opted for a simple design with 8 activation buttons plus 2 volume controls – allowing them to change content when required and not worry about any track listings becoming obsolete. With 2 x Heavy Duty Headphones Hearing Loop version the unit is also compatible with hearing aids.
