The VS 300 provides reliable, interactive playback of high quality video files and photos on screens and monitors in demanding commercial environments such as museums, heritage sites and other attractions. The files are stored and played directly from a solid state CF memory card housed in a protected slot.
The VS 300 is exceptionally small and comes in an elegant yet rugged casing with an easy-to-install mount plate (VESA). DV Studio can be downloaded from here and is an easy to use package for programming the player. blackbox-av also provides technical support as an optional extra.

| Playlist/Default – Content is played according to a playlist which is created in DV Studio or, by filename in alphanumerical order. |
| Loop – An individual file, or group of files, can be set to play in a continuous loop. |
| Scheduled – The player is capable of holding up to 40 playlists which can be scheduled to run at certain times. |
| Interactivity: |
| A range of interactive options are available including touchscreen, infre-red remote, buttons and innovative switching options. A serial port is also provided for a barcode scanner which can be used to scan codes linked to video files in the player. |
| Data Logging: |
| Through the creation of a log file on the CF card, a record can be kept of which files have been played, as well as time and date of playback. |
