blackbox-av were tasked rejuvenate the web presence of the house and its collection. This was aimed at both encouraging new visitors and to let past visitors know that the site’s displays had be updated and were worth a return visit. We created a totally new website for the custodians including a new interactive entertainment section to the website reflecting some of the site’s past glories and interesting stories. The new website also covers the restored ironworker’s cottage that belonged to the Welsh composer Joseph Parry, responsible for the romantic song, Myfanwy.
Online Interactive
The online interactive features three different games. Firstly, a classic picture slider puzzle, with a fun quiz, which gives you a picture clue to help solve the main puzzle. Secondly a mix & match game that challenges you to correctly identify some of the museum’s exhibits. And finally an opportunity for visitors to try their hand at the tricky art of colodian plate photography, as Mr Crawshay’s dark room assistant. Our website designers also built into the new site an easy to use update function that the museum staff can use to quickly add news stories and information on forthcoming and current events as they occur.
