January Newsletter 2017 – What We’ve Been Up To
Happy New Year everyone! We hope you all had a lovely Christmas (we certainly did!). Although we’ve only just got back to business for the new year, we’ve been very busy with some exciting projects and news that we’re eager to share. First some projects;
22″ All-in-One Touchscreen – Cardiff Story Museum
Our All-In-One Touchscreen has made its way over to the Cardiff Story Museum becoming part of the Cardiff in Context exhibition. The museum’s purpose is to tell the story of how Cardiff has transformed over the years from a small market town, to the popular capital city we know today.
We were asked to supply a touchscreen and software capable of playing a short video in both English & Welsh. We utilised the above mentioned touchscreen alongside our off-the-shelf and customisable software HomeScreen & VideoShowreel with audio provided through two of our Armour Cable Headphones. Built into a custom kiosk housing with vinyl printed finish the end result is an eye-catching interactive that helps lend a voice to local residents of the capital city.
VideoClip HD-8 – National Library of Wales
Four of our VideoClip HD-8 players have found a home in the National Library of Wales. The library preserves archives and stories from Welsh history that are used for research purposes.
The video players have been used for various exhibitions, book signings, and have even added a festive touch in the refectory area by playing Christmas songs. Thanks to the players’ simple programming, the library has been able to use them multiple times with minimal effort.
22″ All-in-One Touchscreen & Software – Tudor World
Another one of our 22″ touchscreens was made for Tudor World based in Stratford-Upon-Avon. The museum documents the life of The Tudors and they way they lived back in the 16th Century.
Tudor World were supplied a copy of MediaTable, HomeScreen & Editor, and completely populated the software themselves. The end result has been a success with visitors and brings a fun interactive into the award-winning museum.
