Hello, we are blackbox-av. We were founded in 1994 and specialise in providing av solutions to the museum, heritage, attractions and retail industry.

What we do

Our service is broken down into 4 main areas;

1. Products

• If its AV we supply it. Projectors, screens, lcd & plasma monitors, touch screens, kiosks, sound stores, listening points – the list goes on and on!
  
• So whats different about blackbox-av? In addition to standard av items we also design and manufacture our own unique range of innovative products such as U-Turn II and Message In A Speaker.
• Need something special? We have an in-house R&D team that can take your concept from idea to reality. See our bespoke sound stores

2. Installations

Need some av? We often advise and install small to medium sized solutions for clients who are creating or freshening up a small to medium gallery or exhibition. Sometimes designers will be involved. We regularly work directly with the curatorial staff.

3. Projects

What’s a project? Usually a large refurbishment or new build where a design team and fit out company is involved from the conception of the project. We work as part of the contracted team to provide a comprehensive interpretive solution which matches the vision of the client and designer.

4. Media

Need media for your av? In its simplest form we can take your content and edit it so it can be used on your new equipment. You will then receive the complete product with content loaded which is ready to plug and play. Our media facilities continue through multimedia creation to film production. See our media showreal.
